How to View a Trial Balance

Each trial balance name in Review Trial Balances is a hyperlink to the related trial balance file that was imported. To view a trial balance file, click its name and its details will display. Each detail view of a trial balance displays the following:

• Trial Balance Name

The name of the trial balance that you are viewing is displayed at the very top of the view.

• Meta Data for the Trial Balance

Just beneath the name of the trial balance, the following meta data for the file is displayed:

• The name of the chart of accounts associated with the trial balance.
• The date and time of arrival of the trial balance on the import queueThe import queue in the Import Trial Balances module lists the trial balances that have been uploaded to General Ledger Manager. It enables you to add trial balances to the queue, import them into General Ledger Manager for creating master trial balances, and to manage them..
• The date and time that the trial balance was imported into General Ledger Manager.
• The time period of the trial balance data.
• Manual for manual upload; Automatic for automatic upload.
• The status of the trial balance, including whether it is active for trial balance creation and whether or not it has been used in the creation of master trial balances.

• The Trial Balance Data

The trial balance data display in a grid. Each record in the trial balance is displayed in the grid. Each record is made up of the following data:

• Reporting Unit
• General Ledger Account Code
• Beginning Balance, if any.
• Ending Balance

• Ending Balance Adjustments

Adjustments can be made to the ending balances of each record in a trial balance. Where an adjustment is made, an adjusted ending balance will be calculated. Notes to each adjustment may also be present.
